Frame components laid out flat with numbered corner labels
Step 1

Lay Out the Frame

On a flat surface, set the top and bottom rails parallel. Place the two side rails vertically so all four ends align.

Step 2

Connect the Sections

Match the numbered labels on each end (1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, 4 to 4) and join the rails until all four sides form a complete frame.

Step 3

Secure the Connections

Insert and tighten the screws at all four connection points. This locks the frame and keeps it stable.

Don't Over-Tighten
Snug is enough. Over-tightening can strip the screw holes.

Step 4

Adjust Fabric Tension

Stand the frame upright. At the marked adjustment points, turn the screws clockwise 2–3 times. Repeat on the other side so the shade moves smoothly.

Step 5

Apply the Adhesive Seal

Peel the backing from the adhesive tape. Run it along the full perimeter, pressing firmly. Overlap slightly at each corner for a continuous seal.

Surface Prep
Wipe your window recess with a dry cloth first. Dust weakens the bond.

Step 6

Press Into the Window Recess

Lift the shade into your window recess. Press evenly on all sides so the adhesive fully contacts the surface. Check that the shade operates smoothly.

Questions

Will the adhesive damage my walls?
No. Peel slowly at a low angle and it comes off clean — no residue, no damage.
What if the shade doesn't glide smoothly?
Go back to Step 4. Turn the tension screws a quarter-turn at a time until the shade moves freely.
Can I remove and reposition the blind?
Yes, but you'll need fresh adhesive tape. Replacement strips are available in our shop.
Do I need a second person?
No. The frame is lightweight and designed for a solo install. A step stool helps for high windows.
